About Jennifer

My Approach

I love families. Big, small, blended, complex – no matter the mix or makeup, I LOVE working with families. Whether it’s a one-on-one parent coaching session or an intensive family session, I’m here to help you identify your family’s unique patterns and foster better communication, deeper connections, and more enjoyment, every day.

I love kids and teens. I strongly believe their voices need to be heard. I’ve spent the last 20 years listening – and I mean REALLY listening. With plenty of patience, lots of creativity, a keen eye, and open ears, we figure out what areas require focus. We’ll use tools like art, music, books, yoga, mindfulness techniques, and plenty of brain info to increase awareness and encourage change.

I love all stages of life. Whether you’re a new parent, a student transitioning to college, or someone working through a challenge like divorce or career change, individual therapy can help you turn down the volume on troublesome areas and turn up the volume in the areas of life that bring you joy.

I love life stories. We each create narratives to make sense of our relationships and our world. Often, we spend our lives looking for evidence to support these themes, intentionally or not. I look forward to uncovering your themes and helping you edit, rewrite, or highlight new, emerging chapters.

I love quiet. Not in the traditional sense of the word, but the idea of taking the opportunity to lessen the noise of the life going on around us and focus on what is truly important to you. Learning about your unique responses to life’s ups and downs will help guide our time together.

My Background

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with children and families in a variety of settings for over 20 years.

Through my role in public schools, I understand the complexities of working within the community and educational systems to set our children up for success.
As a working co-parent to three rambunctious children in elementary and middle school, I understand the many parenting demands of today.

And having grown up in the Midwest, the youngest of three sisters, I know that wherever you go, families are trying to do their best. Today, I hope to make a difference in yours.
